WWII Navy Veteran and retired Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service. Joe died in April of 2010. Back in 2003, he shared old photos of his father's "Stimart Shoe Shop" on 22nd & Como Aves SE with the Como History Group. Along with Joe's father, Herman, there are several other Stimarts listed as Como residents in the 1922 and 1936 city directories. The Stimart family has strong ties to Como going back almost a century.
