- B&W Specialty Coffee Co., 2010 E. Hennepin Ave.
- Bavolak Electric, 1153 16th Ave SE. Founded in 1971 by Karl Bavolak.
- BBD Holdings, 2010 E. Hennepin Ave. Owned by Larry Homstad
- B.T. McElrath Chocolatier, 2010 E. Hennepin Ave., was started in 1996. It's located in the original Betty Crocker R&D kitchens.
- ChinDian Cafe, formerly named East River Market, opened in 2005. Located at 1500 E. Hennepin Ave., owned by Nina Wong & Thomas Gnanapragasam.
- Clockwork Active Media Systems, 1501 E. Hennepin Ave. The business was started in 2002. Nancy Lyons is the President & CEO.
- Como Evangelical Free Church, 1037 14th Ave SE. Still meets in the building owned by the Oakeschott Institute.
- Como Imports, 1501 Como Ave SE, was established in 1970 as a Mobil gas/service station.
- Como Student Community Cooperative, 1024 27th Ave SE (history of CSCC)
- Crescent Moon Pizza, 1517 Como Ave SE. This location was opened on March 9, 2009 by Meerwais Azizi.
- CW Lofts, Stinson Blvd & Broadway St. NE
- Dar Al-Farooq, 983 17th Ave SE. Opened in 1997.
- Di's Print, 1420 E. Hennepin Ave.
- Dolan Printing, 2301 E. Hennepin Ave. Established in 1985.
- East Hennepin Auto Service, 2100 E. Hennepin Ave. Owned & operated by Greg, Dan, Mike & Bernie.
- Elmwood Properties, 1420 Rollins Ave SE. Owned by Craig Jansen.
- Hawkins Inc., 3100 E. Hennepin Ave.
- Hennepin Square, 2021 E. Hennepin Ave.
- Heritage Academy of Science & Technology, 1042 18th Ave SE. Moved to the Tuttle School building in the fall of 2010.
- Hillcrest Development, 2424 Kennedy St NE. Founded in 1948; Scott Tankenoff Managing Partner.
- Hoover Wheel Alignment, 1101 E. Hennepin Ave. Business opened in 1954, currently owned by Dale Hoover.
- JR Wrestling Products, 2520 E. Hennepin Ave.
- Joe's Market & Deli, 1828 Como Ave SE. Owned by Joe Simon.
- Kaufman Container, 1227 E. Hennepin Ave.
- Kind Hearts, 1521 Como Ave SE.
- Koehler & Dramm, 2407 E. Hennepin Ave. Founded in 1955 in Chicago, they've been in their current location since 1990.
- Mackay Mitchell Envelope Company, 2100 Elm St SE. Harvey Mackay is the founder and chairman of the board.
- Manning's Restaurant, 2200 Como Ave SE, was opened on June 2, 1931 by Ralph Manning. It is currently owned by Larry Manning, Ralph's grandson.
- Minnetonka Moccasins, 1113 E. Hennepin Ave.
- Muddsuckers Coffee, 1500 Como Ave SE, was opened on June 15, 2005 by Cevin Chladek. Brad Cimaglio & Jess Langseth bought it in early 2010.
- Mueller Inc., 2422 E. Hennepin Ave.
- Murphy's Warehouse, 701 24th Ave SE. President & CEO Richard T. Murphy Jr. (100th anniversary commemoration)
- Museum Services, located at 2921 Como Ave SE, is owned by Russ Belk and was started in the mid-1970's.
- Newgate Education Center, 2900 E. Hennepin Ave.
- Oakeschott Institute, located at 1035 14th Ave SE. Established by Christopher Poor in 2000.
- Oaks Hardware, 1519 Como Ave SE. Owned by Pat Clough.
- Obento Ya Japanese Bistro, located at 1510 Como Ave SE, opened July 16, 2007. Owned by Kjersten & Mie Winters.
