John & Clara O’Neil built their family home on 21^st Ave SE in 1923 and raised two children there. John worked as a brakeman in 1922 and owned the Central Fuel Company by 1936. John’s father, Henry, lived only four blocks away on 17^th Ave SE. Nearly 90 years later, the house has remained in the family and a 3^rd generation of O’Neils call it home.
