Mae Snow, Republican candidate for school director, ran nearly 15,000 votes ahead of her opponent, A.L. Steele, Democratic, and won with a vote of 22,210 against 8,509. Although her election was expected, no majority of the size she had was dreamed of. She was the only woman on the ticket. . . .
